Baked Vegetable Casserole

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 2 piece Onions
- 250 g Cheese
- 3 tbsp Basil
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 50 ml White wine
- 1 pinch Paprika powder
- 3 piece Bell peppers
- 0.5 piece Celery
- 7 piece Carrots
- 400 g Potatoes
- 600 ml Water
Instructions
- 1. Grease a casserole dish with butter and preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat).
- 2. Boil the potatoes in a pot with hot water for 10 minutes. Remove from the pot, peel, and cut into slices.
- 3. Wash the carrots, celery, and bell peppers and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
- 4. Peel the onions, chop finely, and sauté in a pan with hot oil. Stir in the vegetables, season with salt, and sauté briefly.
- 5. Layer the potato slices in the casserole dish to cover the bottom. Distribute the vegetables on top and finish with another layer of potatoes.
- 6. Mix the heavy cream in a bowl with wine, salt, pepper, paprika powder, and basil, and pour evenly over the casserole.
- 7. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and bake the casserole for approximately 45 minutes.
- 8. Before serving, garnish with chives or finely chopped parsley as desired.
