Viennese Grenadiermarsch
A traditional Viennese dish made from leftovers, including potatoes, pasta, and smoked meat.

Ingredients
- 400 g Potatoes
- 200 g Square-cut or spiral pasta
- 2 EL Lard or oil
- 80 g Breakfast bacon
- 100 g Smoked pork
- 1 Stück Onion
- 1 TL Marjoram
- Salt
- Pepper
- Paprika powder
- 1 EL Parsley
Instructions
- 1. Cook the potatoes (or even better: use already cooked ones from the day before), peel and cut into slices about the thickness of a knife's back.
- 2. Cook the square-cut or spiral pasta al dente and rinse.
- 3. Melt the lard in a pan.
- 4. Fry the sliced bacon and smoked pork or the leftover roast in it, then add the finely chopped onion and fry until golden yellow.
- 5. Add the potato slices and fry until golden brown on both sides.
- 6. Finally, mix in the pasta and season everything with salt, pepper, marjoram and possibly a little paprika powder.
- 7. Serve sprinkled with parsley.
